Design

The scales are a modular, low-profile design. The reinforced concrete platform allows you to weigh vehicles with an axle load of up to 20 tons and work in difficult operating conditions (quarries, road construction companies, production). The length of the scale section is 6 m. The increased strength of the platform allows you to weigh both agricultural products and crushed stone, sand, and building materials. The platform is made of bridge concrete and is based on a reinforcement cage, which allows for optimal strength properties. The concrete is coated with a protective epoxy mixture, which protects it from moisture and peeling.

Ease of transportation

The platform module of automobile scales is collapsible. This makes it much easier to transport the weight, easily in the back of a standard flatbed vehicle.

Reliable protection of scales from longitudinal and transverse displacements of load-receiving platforms during the passage and braking of the vehicle

In most scales produced by other manufacturers, the stabilization of the load-receiving platforms is carried out using screw stops, which are inconvenient to use due to the need for their constant adjustment. The design of our stabilizers does not require adjustment during operation and also eliminates the longitudinal and transverse removal of load-receiving platforms when driving and braking a vehicle.

Ease of maintenance of scales

The central hatches of the load-receiving platforms are securely fixed with special stops and locks. This provides quick, convenient access to the sub-platform space for prompt maintenance, as well as cleaning from dirt and snow.

The improved design of the flaps using reinforced rubber minimizes the ingress of dirt from the car wheels into the underplatform space of the scales and strain gauges.

Differences between reinforced concrete and metal structures:

Concrete is less exposed to temperature effects compared to metal. Therefore, when the ambient temperature fluctuates, reaching a range of 60 K between summer and winter, the sensors operate under more stable temperature conditions. This determines the limits within which the errors, determined by the influence of temperature on the characteristics of sensors of accuracy category C3 and higher, change almost twice as much.

Metal, unlike reinforced concrete, has a greater ability to accumulate plastic deformations, which in turn entails the need to adjust platforms with sensor installation units, as well as the appearance of boundary deflections, which over time can lead to the destruction of the scale structure.

Under the influence of intense impulse loads, plastic deformations may occur in metal platforms; in reinforced concrete platforms this factor is almost absent.

The concrete platform is more massive, and therefore is better matched to the weight of the car driving onto it, is more inert, and sways less on the sensors. Due to their higher inertia, the stabilization of reinforced concrete scales is 3.5 – 4 times faster compared to metal ones, which increases the speed and accuracy of weighing in motion.

The reinforced concrete structure is monolithic, and the structure of the metal scales is hollow. A reinforced concrete platform is stiffer than a metal platform, which in turn makes the weight distribution between the sensors and between the building supports more even. This allows the use of strain gauges with a lower limit.
